Overall, patient sentiment regarding Dr. Irving Harper, MD, is mixed, with a rating of 3.5 out of 5 based on 12 ratings and one detailed review. While some patients appreciate his willingness to take time to answer questions and provide follow-up care, there are significant concerns raised about his diagnostic approach and attentiveness to patient concerns. Common themes in praise include Dr. Harper's thoroughness in addressing patient inquiries and his commitment to follow-up care. Patients noted that he takes the time to explain conditions and treatments, which contributes positively to their experience. However, the critical feedback is notably severe, with one patient recounting a distressing experience where they felt their serious health concerns were dismissed, leading to a delayed cancer diagnosis. This highlights a potential issue with his attentiveness to symptoms that may warrant further investigation. Notable specifics mentioned repeatedly include concerns about the quality of care in critical situations, particularly regarding the handling of serious symptoms. Additionally, there was a mention of a significant wait time for appointments, which may be a consideration for prospective patients. Overall, while Dr. Harper may be effective in routine care and patient communication, potential patients should weigh the serious concerns raised in reviews against the positive aspects of his practice.
