Dr. Michael Banks, MD, has received a mixed to negative sentiment from patients based on the reviews available. With an overall rating of 2.6 out of 5, many patients express dissatisfaction with their experiences, highlighting significant concerns regarding his bedside manner, communication style, and overall helpfulness. Common themes in the praise include acknowledgment of his surgical skills and expertise, with one patient noting his ability to discern when surgery is necessary. However, the criticisms are more pronounced, with multiple reviewers describing him as dismissive, rude, and lacking patience. Patients frequently mention feeling rushed during appointments, with some stating that he does not allow them to finish their questions or concerns. Additionally, there are reports of inadequate follow-up care, leading to unresolved medical issues and the need for further treatment from other specialists. Notably, several patients have shared experiences of feeling belittled or ignored, which has contributed to their decision not to return to his practice. While the office staff has received some positive remarks for their friendliness, the overall patient experience seems to be heavily influenced by Dr. Banks' perceived lack of empathy and communication skills. Prospective patients may want to consider these factors when deciding whether to seek care from him.
