Overall, patient sentiment regarding Dr. Rex Appenfeller, MD, is mixed, with an average rating of 3.3 out of 5 based on 15 reviews. Approximately 47% of reviewers rated him five stars, indicating a segment of patients who are satisfied with his care. However, a significant portion (33%) rated him one star, reflecting dissatisfaction. Common themes in praise include the friendliness of the staff and the ease of scheduling appointments, which many patients found convenient. Some patients appreciated Dr. Appenfeller's extensive experience in internal medicine, suggesting a level of trust in his medical expertise. On the other hand, criticism often centers around Dr. Appenfeller's communication style; several patients expressed concerns that he does not listen well or adequately explain conditions and treatment options. One reviewer specifically mentioned feeling extremely sick due to a lack of attention to their symptoms, highlighting a potential issue with patient-provider communication. Notably, while some patients found the office staff to be friendly and accommodating, the mixed reviews suggest that prospective patients should consider their own preferences for communication and engagement in their healthcare decisions when choosing to see Dr. Appenfeller.
