Dr. Richard Davis, MD, an orthopedic surgeon in Newport, OR, has garnered a mixed overall patient sentiment with an average rating of 3.2 out of 5 based on 8 reviews. While half of the reviewers rated him 5 stars, a significant portion (38%) rated him 1 star, indicating a divide in patient experiences. Common themes in praise include Dr. Davis's ability to explain conditions well, which many patients found beneficial in understanding their diagnoses and treatment options. Additionally, his affiliation with reputable hospitals, such as Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital, is noted positively, contributing to a sense of trust in his medical practice. However, criticisms often center around issues such as perceived lack of empathy or attentiveness during consultations, as well as concerns regarding wait times and the efficiency of his office staff. Notably, patients frequently mention that while Dr. Davis is knowledgeable and experienced, the overall patient experience could be improved with better communication and support from his team. Prospective patients may want to consider these factors when deciding whether to seek care from Dr. Davis.
