Dr. Thomas Amalfitano, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with over 35 years of experience, has garnered a mixed overall patient sentiment reflected in his 3.7-star rating based on 19 reviews. While a majority of patients express satisfaction with his services, noting a 63% five-star rating, there is also a significant portion (26%) who have rated him one star, indicating some dissatisfaction. Common themes in praise include Dr. Amalfitano's thoroughness in explaining conditions and treatments, as well as his attentive bedside manner. Patients appreciate that he takes the time to listen to their concerns and answer questions, contributing to a feeling of trust in his medical decisions. Additionally, the friendliness of his staff and the efficient scheduling process are frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the patient experience. On the flip side, criticisms primarily revolve around negative experiences related to wait times and perceived rushed appointments. Some patients felt that their visits did not allow for adequate time to address all their concerns. This feedback suggests that while many patients value his expertise and communication skills, there may be room for improvement in managing appointment pacing and wait times. Overall, potential patients should weigh these factors when considering Dr. Amalfitano for orthopedic care.
