US News
Dr. Thomas Macha, MD, an orthopedic surgeon in San Diego, has received a mixed overall patient sentiment, reflected in his average rating of 3 out of 5 stars based on 22 reviews. While some patients appreciate his expertise and experience, particularly in hip replacement, many express dissatisfaction with various aspects of their care. Common themes in praise include Dr. Macha's extensive experience and knowledge in orthopedics, which some patients find reassuring. However, criticisms are prevalent, particularly regarding the amount of time he spends with patients, his follow-up care, and his overall attitude. Many reviews indicate that patients feel rushed during appointments and that their concerns are not adequately addressed, leading to a perception of insufficient support and responsiveness. Notably, patients frequently mention the need for better communication and follow-up, suggesting that potential patients should consider these factors when deciding whether to see Dr. Macha. While he is affiliated with a reputable hospital and has a solid background, those seeking a more personalized and attentive experience may want to weigh these concerns carefully.
