Overall, patient sentiment regarding Dr. Troy Hounshell is predominantly negative, as evidenced by a single review that rates him 1 star. The review highlights significant dissatisfaction with the doctor's approach to treatment and communication, particularly in a surgical context. Patients have expressed concerns about Dr. Hounshell's bedside manner, specifically noting that he did not listen to their medical history or preferences, which led to complications during a procedure. The reviewer mentioned that Dr. Hounshell's initial reaction was to perform surgery without adequately addressing their specific health concerns, such as avoiding placement on burn scars. Additionally, the patient reported ongoing pain and difficulties in obtaining follow-up care, which has contributed to their frustration and reluctance to return to his practice. Notably, the review emphasizes issues related to the doctor's preparedness for complex cases and the lack of effective communication post-procedure. The patient described a challenging recovery process, including complications from the surgical adhesive used, which exacerbated their existing health conditions. This feedback suggests that potential patients may want to consider these factors when deciding whether to consult Dr. Hounshell for cardiology services.
