Momentary is an AI-enabled virtual primary care application operated by Momentary Labs Inc. (“Momentary,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a California corporation. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through the Momentary iOS app and associated services, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of data:
Health & Fitness Data (steps, heart rate, sleep, workouts)
Personalized health insights and health score generation
Read from Apple HealthKit with your permission. Not used for advertising.
Name
Account creation and personalization
Collected at signup.
Email Address
Authentication and account communications
Collected at signup via our authentication provider (Clerk).
User ID
Link your account across sessions
Assigned internally upon account creation.
Location (when in use only)
Verify your state of residence so physicians can legally provide care
Accessed only at time of service. Not stored persistently.

3. How We Use Your Data
- Health data is used to generate your health score, health story, and to provide relevant context in AI-assisted clinical conversations.
- Name and email are used for your account identity, communications, and authentication.
- Location is used to confirm your state of residence for physician licensing compliance under applicable telehealth law.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. Health data is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use the following third-party services to operate Momentary. Each receives only the data necessary for its function:

6. Data Retention
- Account data (name, email, user ID) is retained while your account is active.
- Health data is retained to provide historical health context and is deleted upon account deletion.
- Chat history is retained to provide care continuity and is deleted upon request or account deletion.
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
- Correction: You can update your profile information directly within the app.

8. Children's Privacy
Momentary is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through an in-app notice before the changes take effect. The “Effective Date” at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.
