Overall, patient sentiment towards Dr. Mark Hanna, MD, is predominantly positive, with an impressive average rating of 5 out of 5 based on 271 reviews. Many patients commend his expertise in orthopedic surgery, particularly in knee and hip replacements, and express satisfaction with their surgical outcomes. Reviewers frequently highlight his attentive bedside manner, noting that he listens to their concerns and communicates effectively. The staff at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital also receives positive remarks for their professionalism and responsiveness. However, there are some mixed reviews that point to issues with communication and staff interactions. A few patients have reported negative experiences, particularly regarding the handling of pre-surgery inquiries about costs, which led to frustration and feelings of being dismissed. Some reviews mention a lack of respect and attention to pain management, suggesting that while Dr. Hanna is skilled, there may be inconsistencies in patient care experiences. Notably, the positive reviews emphasize successful surgical outcomes and a supportive team, while the criticisms focus on communication challenges and perceived insensitivity. This balanced feedback may help prospective patients weigh their options when considering Dr. Hanna for orthopedic care.
