Overall, patient sentiment regarding Dr. Philip Spinuzza, DO, is mixed. While many patients express satisfaction with his expertise and pleasant demeanor, particularly in surgical contexts, there are significant concerns raised about billing practices and communication from the office staff. The doctor has a solid reputation for explaining conditions well and being trustworthy, with a notable percentage of patients recommending him based on their experiences. Common themes in praise include Dr. Spinuzza's ability to clearly explain medical conditions and treatments, as well as his good communication skills during consultations. Patients appreciate that he takes the time to address their questions and concerns. However, criticisms often center around issues with the billing department, where patients have reported feeling stressed and unsupported, particularly when dealing with insurance matters. Some reviews highlight specific instances of dissatisfaction with the office's handling of medical equipment requests and billing discrepancies. Notably, several patients have mentioned challenges related to billing practices, including unexpected charges and difficulties in obtaining necessary medical equipment. While Dr. Spinuzza himself is often described positively, the overall patient experience is impacted by the administrative side of his practice, which may influence potential patients' decisions to seek care from him.
