Overall, patient sentiment regarding Dr. Samuel Evans, MD, a pulmonologist in Honolulu, HI, is mixed. He has a 3.7-star rating based on a small number of reviews, indicating that experiences can vary significantly among patients. While some patients praise his expertise and the positive impact he has had on their health, others express dissatisfaction with his communication style and the quality of care received. Common themes in praise include Dr. Evans' extensive experience in treating pulmonary conditions, particularly obstructive lung disease and interstitial lung disease. Patients appreciate his thoroughness and the effective interventions he has provided, with one review highlighting his role in significantly improving a patient's quality of life. Additionally, his staff, particularly an assistant named Leslie, received commendations for their helpfulness and communication. On the criticism side, some patients reported negative experiences, citing issues such as a lack of attentiveness, perceived rudeness, and misdiagnoses. Specific complaints included feeling ignored during consultations and receiving inadequate explanations about conditions and treatments. Additionally, there were mentions of difficulties with scheduling and office cleanliness. These mixed reviews suggest that while Dr. Evans has a solid reputation in certain circles, potential patients may want to consider both the positive and negative feedback before making an appointment.
