We’re here to help. Most questions are answered below. For anything else, a real person on our team will get back to you within one business day.
Medical emergencies
Momentary is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, suicidal thoughts, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding, or any other condition you believe may be life-threatening, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. For mental health crises, you can also reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

Membership & billing
How much does Momentary cost?
Membership is $19.99 per month after a 7-day free trial. Pricing is the same for everyone; we do not run hidden fees or surge billing.
How do I start the 7-day free trial?
Tap Join now in the app, complete onboarding, and add a payment method. Your trial begins immediately. We’ll send a reminder before the first charge.
How do I cancel my membership?
Open Profile → Manage membership and tap Cancel membership. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. Cancelling during your free trial prevents the first charge.
Where do I update my payment method?
Open Profile → Manage membership → Payment method. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
I was charged after I cancelled. What now?
Email
support@momentarylab.com with the date of the charge and we’ll review it within one business day. If the charge was in error, we’ll refund it.
Care & clinical questions
Who provides my care?
Care is provided by California-licensed physicians employed by or contracted with Momentary Medical Group West PC. AI tools assist your care team behind the scenes, but a licensed physician reviews and signs off on every clinical decision.
What can Momentary help with?
Most everyday primary care: things like colds and flu, allergies, skin issues, urinary symptoms, headaches, sleep, anxiety and low mood, refills for ongoing conditions, lab ordering, and referrals to specialists. If something needs in-person care, your physician will tell you and help arrange it.
What can’t Momentary help with?
Momentary is not for emergencies. We also don’t handle conditions that require in-person examination or imaging that we can’t arrange remotely, and we don’t prescribe Schedule II controlled substances. Your physician will let you know when in-person care is the right next step.
Can Momentary prescribe my medication?
Often, yes. Whether to prescribe is at your physician’s clinical discretion based on your history and current presentation. Momentary does not prescribe Schedule II controlled substances, and limitations apply to opioids, benzodiazepines, ADHD stimulants, and weight-loss medications.
Where do prescriptions, labs, and referrals get sent?
Prescriptions are sent to your preferred pharmacy. Lab orders are sent to Quest, LabCorp, or another in-network lab near you. Referrals go to in-network specialists. Costs charged by pharmacies, labs, and specialists are not included in your Momentary membership.
I need to talk to a human, not the AI.
Reply in chat and ask for a clinician, or email
support@momentarylab.com. You can request a human at any time.
In what states is Momentary available?
Momentary currently provides care to residents of California only. We’re expanding state by state.
App & technical
The app keeps crashing or won’t load.
Make sure you’re on the latest version of the app and on iOS 17 or later. Force-quit the app and reopen it. If that doesn’t help, email
support@momentarylab.com with your iPhone model and iOS version and we’ll dig in.
I’m not getting notifications.
Open the iOS Settings app → Momentary → Notifications and confirm notifications are allowed. We use notifications to alert you when your physician replies.
How do I manage Apple Health permissions?
Open the iOS Settings app → Health → Data Access & Devices → Momentary. Health data we read is used only to give your physician context; it is never used for advertising or sold to third parties.
Where can I export my data?
Email
support@momentarylab.com and we’ll send you a copy of the personal data and medical records associated with your account.
Feedback & feature requests
